Reelm Studio ("we," "our," or "us") is developed and operated by Berk Erdogan. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Reelm Studio mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account through Firebase Authentication, we may collect:

• Email address — used to create and identify your account
• Display name — optionally provided for personalization
• Authentication tokens — generated by Firebase to maintain your session
• Sign-in provider information — if you sign in with Apple or other third-party providers, we receive only the data they share per your authorization

Generated Content

When you use the App to create videos or images, we store:

• Prompts and configuration settings — the text prompts, selected AI models, and generation parameters you provide
• Generated media files — the resulting videos and images produced by AI models on your behalf
• Generation metadata — timestamps, credit usage, model selections, and generation status

Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about how you interact with the App:

• App usage analytics — features accessed, screens viewed, and interaction patterns
• Device information — device model, operating system version, and app version
• Credit balance and transaction history — records of credit purchases and usage within the App

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide and operate the service — authenticate your identity, process your AI generation requests, store your created content, and manage your credit balance
• Improve the App — analyze usage patterns to identify bugs, optimize performance, and enhance features
• Process transactions — coordinate with Apple's in-app purchase system to verify and fulfill credit purchases (we do not directly handle payment information)
• Deliver trend analysis — use YouTube API data to provide trending topic insights and template suggestions relevant to content creation
• Enhance prompts — send your generation prompts to OpenAI's API for intelligent enhancement and optimization before generation
• Communicate with you — send important service-related notices such as account verification, security alerts, or policy updates

Reelm Studio integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its functionality. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

In-App Data Sharing Consent

Before you can create any AI-generated content, the App will present you with a data sharing consent screen that clearly identifies:

• What data is shared — text prompts, generation parameters, and uploaded images
• Who receives the data — Fal AI for video/image generation, and OpenAI for prompt enhancement
• Why the data is shared — to provide the core AI generation functionality of the App

You must explicitly agree to this data sharing before using AI generation features. You may review or withdraw your consent at any time from the Account > Settings screen within the App. Withdrawing consent will prevent you from using AI generation features until consent is re-granted.

4. Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate measures to protect it:

• Cloud infrastructure — your data is stored on Google Firebase cloud servers, which maintain industry-standard security certifications including SOC 1, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
• Encryption in transit — all data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• Encryption at rest — data stored in Firebase is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
• Authentication security — user sessions are managed through Firebase Authentication with secure token-based authentication
• Access controls — Firestore security rules ensure that users can only access their own data

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to following industry best practices to protect your data.

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access your data — you can view your account information, generation history, and credit balance within the App at any time
• Delete your account — you may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at berker@berkerdogan.dev. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed
• Export your data — you may request an export of your personal data in a portable format by contacting us at the email address above
• Opt out of analytics — you may request to opt out of non-essential usage analytics by contacting us
• Withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent for data processing at any time, though this may limit your ability to use certain features of the App

California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability, the right to rectification, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing your data is your consent and the performance of the contract (providing the App's services).

6. Children's Privacy

Reelm Studio is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information from our servers.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will:

• Notify you through the App or via email for significant changes
• Provide at least 30 days' notice before material changes take effect where required by law

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of the App after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
